So first off I am a real person...or is that what a bot would say? I am always dubious with the sellers site reviews, but this product is exactly as described.

I have common issues with the kids upstairs toilet overflowing and running, which is a major issue for an upstairs toilet with wood flooring right below it....
Anyways, installed the water block/ reset tool and problem solved. Already saved me once, kid flushed, walked away, toilet overflowed a little and then the water block shut it off.

I had to fiddle with the volume, and even tested it with a bucket a few times to "get it right". My advise is give it a bit more volume then you really need. I had it set a bit to close to "actual" requirements and it tripped a few times until I gave it a little more wiggle room. While this means you might get a little overflow potentially, my 2c for me this is to stop major flood issues.

Feedback to Hawkeyed: I would be to just include the reset tool as part of a more streamlined toilet kit product. While it works, the tool adds the the length overall and is sometimes hard to push down to reset. No one using this for most applications wants to take the device apart to reset.
If you made one purpose built, perhaps it could be designed to be more streamlined/compact and a bit easier to press for kids? That being said I am pleasantly surprised that is works as well as it does, and the fit and finish is top notch.

I have a toilet where the flapper doesn't seat properly sometimes. I did not know it was a very frequent sometimes ! Installed it 1 week ago and has saved us 3 times so far ! Great product.

Installation instructions become clear once the product was in-hand. Was trying to decide if horizontal or vertical install would work and with or without the reset device. Finally ordered horizontal layout with reset device and was able to install behind toilet parallel to wall so it is not noticeable from above. Shuts off water flow and resets as described. Works better than anticipated.

Unfortunately, our house had water damage from a hung clogged toilet than overflowed for less than 30mins. After dealing with this incident I decided it was time to research to figure out what options were on the market to prevent this from happening again. Thankfully I landed on Hawkeye Water Defense. We live in rural VT with well water. If the toilet accidentally runs (flapper issue) it wreaks havoc on our water system. Our house is 150 years old, well maintained but no major renovations. We have plenty to keep us busy and the water block-toilet shutoff just made our lives easier. We are tight on space in the bathroom and the horizontal design was perfect. It is easy to assemble, it works beautiful and there are plenty of online support materials available. I’m on the site now because I’m buying a 2nd unit for our other bathroom. I wish all products were as well designed & affordable as the water block-toilet shutoff. Well done!

Just received and installed the Water Block. We installed it, tested it and are very impressed. I think will stand the test of time.

Works as intended. If toilet runs, the water shuts off 45 seconds after the time it would take to fill the tank.
